In 1979 the friends’ association of the Transylvanian Museum was founded which was incorporated into the association supporting the Transylvanian Museum in Gundelsheim (Verein zur Förderung des Siebenbürgischen Museums Gundelsheim e.V.).
The objectives of this association are the preservation and promotion of Transylvanian heritage, especially by contributing funds and through non-material assistance to the Transylvanian Museum of Gundelsheim.
As a member, you not only support the museum, its exhibitions and publications financially, you also receive free admission to the regular and special exhibitions. You will be invited to special events, for example exhibition openings, field trips, lectures and concerts. As a member of the friends’ association you will also receive the yearbook of the Transylvanian Museum in Gundelsheim free of charge.

The standard contribution is EUR 30.00 per member per calendar year.
On request, on a case-by-case basis, the chairman may grant discounts. The annual contribution becomes due and payable on the 1st day of the month of March each year.
The members’ meeting determines the amount of the standard contribution. Honorary members are exempt from the duty to make contributions.
You can make a contribution by way of donations, gifts or bequests too, which are tax-deductible in the same way as the contribution is. Each donation – irrespective of its amount – helps to sustainably support the work of the Transylvanian Museum, to preserve and showcase Transylvanian culture, and to realise various projects.
